The Journey of Hope and Transformation

Days of Hope began with a deep commitment to making a difference. The journey started when Oferya Kichen, a nurse from Zimbabwe who later moved to Australia, was inspired by the contrasting lifestyles she encountered. Moved by the abundance around her, she began collecting essential items—clothes, blankets, sewing machines, and books—to send back home. With support from her Australian colleagues and friends, she successfully shipped a container full of these crucial goods to Zimbabwe, marking the beginning of a transformative journey.

This initiative gained traction, leading to numerous donations from well-wishers who were inspired by her selfless efforts. Over the years, Days of Hope has shipped more than ten containers filled with life-changing items, providing relief to hospitals, schools, local creches, and vulnerable groups across the nation. The organization’s impact has been featured on national television, recognizing its role in transforming lives.
